Every piece is printed to order on heavyweight, washed fabric. Treat it well and the linework stays sharp for years. Treat it badly and the print is the first thing to go.
Washing
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle
- Turn the garment inside out first — this protects the print more than anything else on this page
- Wash with similar colours
- Do not bleach, and avoid detergents containing bleach or optical brighteners
- Do not use fabric softener — it coats the fibres and dulls the print over time
Drying
- Tumble dry low, or hang to dry
- Air drying is gentler and will noticeably extend the life of the print
- Do not wring out the printed area
Ironing
- Iron on low heat, inside out
- Never iron directly on the print — the ink will scorch or lift
- If you need to press the printed side, place a cloth between the iron and the garment
Other
- Do not dry clean
- Wash before first wear if you like — washed fabrics may release a little excess dye on the first cycle
About the wash finish
Our hoodies use a snow-wash finish and our shirts a mineral wash. Both are applied to the garment before printing, so slight variation between pieces is normal and intended. No two are identical.
The print itself
Designs are printed directly into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it as a heavy layer. Expect the print to soften slightly with the garment as it ages. That's the finish working as intended, not the print failing.
